New Instagram feature: Go Live With A Friend

"Live video helps you share in an authentic way, but sometimes it can be intimidating when you’re on your own. It’s easy to add a guest while you’re broadcasting. Simply tap the new icon on the bottom right and tap “Add” to invite anyone who’s currently watching. Once they join, you’ll see the screen split into two and your friend pop up right below you. Your viewers can still like and comment as they follow along."

Instagram has added a new feature to allow users to go live with a friend. While this feature is still being tested by a select few users, the users can invite anyone watching their stream to join them. Once accepted, the screen will split in half to accommodate both users.

Guests can sign off whenever they choose and the original user can then choose to post the stream to Instagram Stories, delete it or save it on their phones. This feature is expected to roll out globally in the coming few months.
