Watch, a new platform for shows will be introduced to Facebook soon. With the rising trend in video content, this platform will be accessible from mobile, desktop, laptop and TV apps. There will also be a Watchlist feature for users to track new content when it appears on the platform.

This platform will help users discover shows relevant to their interests along with suggestions based on what their friends and communities are watching. Sections like "Most Talked About" will showcase videos that spark conversations while "What's Making People Laugh" will highlight videos that garner more "Haha" reactions. Users will also be able to like and comment during broadcasts.

As such, the key goal for many video content producers will undoubtedly be to get more engagements through reactions and comments. A wide variety of shows are expected to be particularly successful. These are formats that engage fans and community, live shows that will connect directly with fans, episodic shows and live events.
